According to the company director Tony Dewan, the group specializes in sanitary and plumbing products. In addition to sourcing goods from Europe, Asia and the Far East, the group has its own manufacturing facility at the Jebel Ali Free Zone called All Metals Engineering Limited. This unit covers an area of more than 50,000 square feet and manufactures a range of flexible hoses in various finishes and for various uses. This company has also made an entry into the production of mixers, personal sprays, rinsers and shower sets. It maintains a significant presence not only in the UAE market but has also made a mark in the international market – particularly in the other Middle East countries.
Referring to the company’s prime markets, Dewan said that Glotra Trading has a very strong presence in the UAE, the CIS and Africa. Dewan further added that “currently we are looking for agents and distributors in Africa to strengthen our presence and are hopeful of clinching some deals in the near future”. Enumerating the various advantages of his company vis-a-vis the competition, he said these included a diverse range of quality products sourced from renowned manufacturers. The company also caters to smaller buyers by providing consolidation services at very competitive prices from Dubai.

The company maintains ready stocks of over 10,000 different products at any given time and is able to meet any requirement at very short notice. “We maintain a very large warehouse in Dubai from where we meet the needs of all our clients,” says Tony Dewan.
The company also has a warehousing facility in Sharjah under the banner of Rajay International, which was established in 1975. Referring to Glotra’s present and future plans in Africa, he mentioned that the company is the sole distributor and agent for a number of top international brands. The future plans of the company include establishing a large customer base by carrying out direct deliveries in international markets from principals and manufacturers in Europe as well as through agents and distributors. The company aims to provide products at very competitive prices in this market.
