Bristol Fire Engineering was established in 1989 (the first of its kind in the UAE) for the production of high quality fire fighting equipment and systems. The production procedures are tested by Bureau Veritas to comply with European Standards BS/EN3.
The company has a team of qualified and experienced engineers who are experts in the design and installation of all types of fire protection and alarm systems. Bristol Fire Engineering offers a comprehensive range of services and products including consultancy, design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of fire alarm systems, linear heat detection systems, automatic sprinklers, deluge, hi-fog and spray systems, wet riser, dry riser and hose reel systems, foams, dry chemicals and systems, F.M 200 and CO2 gas suppression systems, triodide, Halon drop, gas detection systems and intruder alarm and security systems.
In addition, the company also specializes in fire pumps, fire retardant coatings and penetration seals, fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods and fire fighting vehicles and also supplies safety equipment and systems for residential buildings, commercial buildings, warehouse industrial, offshore and marine applications
The company’s Extinguisher Production Facility has been designed with European knowhow and technology to manufacture fire extinguishers in a deep drawing process. This process ensures that the welding on the cylinder is minimal, which gives the company’s products longer life when compared to conventional methods of production. Every extinguisher is hydro-statically tested to the required pressure as specified by BS / EN3. This in-house testing ensures the high quality of all products.
Pressure leak test of double the operating pressure is conducted to check for leaks from the valve or gauge. Quality control check is done by in-house engineers to ensure that Bristol Fire Engineering Quality Assurance Policy is implemented as per ISO-9000 requirements and BS / EN3 standards.
The company also has a dedicated fabrication facility which manufactures high quality fire hoses, fire hose reels, hydrant valves and cabinets.
Production machinery is selected to fabricate all kinds of cabinets of different sheet metal types and thickness such as, mild steel, galvanized steel, aluminum and stainless steel in different finishes.
Hose reels are designed and manufactured in compliance with the requirements of BS 5274, and are available in 1 or 0.75 diameter in different lengths and finishes. Bristol Fire Engineering also assembles different types of pumps like booster pump sets, transfer pumps and fire fighting pump sets. These pump sets are assembled on skids or trolleys with the proper fittings and pipes for interconnecting the components according to customer requirement such as GI, UPVC, Copper or SS.
The Bristol Fire Engineering Service Centre is fully equipped to carry out the reconditioning, servicing and refilling of portable fire extinguishers, fire extinguishing system cylinders and breathing air cylinders. All the service and reconditioning works undertaken by the service centre, is carried out in accordance with the workshop Procedure Manual which has been produced to meet the requirements of BS 5306 part 3 1985, BS 5430 part 1,2&3 1990 and BS 5423 1987.
The company has many years of experience in the supply and design of fire fighting equipment. A complete team of field service technicians are available for on-site service and maintenance of fire detection, FM 200, Halon, Co2, Foam, dry chemical, hydrant, sprinkler Spray and alarm systems. The workshop is equipped with the latest type of plants and tools, among the items of equipment installed are bulk storage CO2 tank, a semi-automatic shot-blasting machine used for surface treatment of old cylinders to remove old paint and external / internal surface corrosion prior to hydrostatic testing and re-painting; a hydrostatic testing station; a paint finishing and printing plant and a fire extinguisher filling system.
