I opted for the Platinum Health Package priced at AED 149 which I bought from the Life Pharmacy near my residence. The pharmacist even booked an appointment for me at the nearest Life Clinic located in Al Qusais for the next day and asked me to make sure that I was fasting before I go for my blood test.
The next morning as I walked into the plush premises of the Life Clinic-cum-Pharmacy in Al Qusais, I was eagerly greeted by the friendly pharmacist on duty and was taken directly to the clinic reception area.
Once my details were verified and my Emirates ID registered, I was asked to wait for my turn. Within 10 minutes I was escorted into a clean and spacious treatment room where a friendly nurse explained the procedure and I was out of the clinic within 5 minutes once my blood sample was taken.
My reports were in my email inbox the next day with instructions to visit the GP for free medical consultation.
The next day I visited the Al Qusais Life Clinic for my appointment with the General Practioner, Dr. Muhammed Shihas. As it turns out, Dr. Shihas has many years of experience and is well experienced in diabetes management, hypertension treatment, hyperlipidemia treatment, acute and chronic respiratory infections, cardiology concerns, minor surgical procedures as well musculoskeletal disease.
All in all, the whole procedure was both cost-effective and convenient. And I felt confident that I had my health thoroughly checked up by an experienced and expert medical practitioner.
